Anyway...back to the important stuff. I spent entirely too many hours on Friday night learning how to be a tweeter. Yep, never thought the day would come. I've succumbed to all of my social media fears. I had to be forced into Facebook 6 years ago by my bookclub. Now, I have a blog and I'm a tweeter. I could still benefit from a real tutorial but for now I've figured out how to post a tweet at least. Come follow me, if you dare!
I went to the beach for a few hours Saturday morning. Just enough for a good nap. I was finally able to get back into the book I'm reading. I'll finish it this week and post my review for you. Speaking of books, I'm really excited about book club this week. We're talking about Where'd You Go Bernadette. I loved this book! Check out my review HERE. Also, exciting is that we're getting a couple new book club members. Melody and Stephanie. I hope they approve of us. We've been running low on energy, we lost a member last weekend and we have a few members who we really don't see that much. I'm excited to get us back on track and excited about reading.
I went to my first meetup meeting last night. It was a "Girls Night Out" group. Lots of really great ladies in attendance. Most of them new to town, but all of them very nice and fun. Yeah, 20 something girls all at once is a bit much for me. I did it though! The conversation was fun and not girly so I hung in there well. I hope that I can make some more of their meetups or at least spend some time with a few of the ladies I thought were super awesome.
I had set my mind on the new iPhone 5. Then, I went to Costco Saturday afternoon. I saw the new S4 and talked to the sales guy for a while. Now, I'm really confused. Anyone out there have some pros/cons? I've had an android for 2 years and loved it. I thought I was ready to take a leap to the world of Apple. Right now I have cold feet. Help!
Today was pretty blah. Got some yard work in, cleaned the house a little. I've been pretty lazy about cleaning. When you have a lab/chow mix that sheds like a monsoon drops rain cleaning feels completely wasteful. He's getting shaved down Wednesday though. *insert girly woooooo* I finally got the bike stand set up today. I rode for 20 minutes while the dogs looked on in bewilderment. If they could speak, I'm sure I'd do a lot of things differently! HA
I watched an incredible movie Friday night. Depressing if you let it get to you. Artistically impressive though. Beasts of the Southern Wild. Check it out. I had it from Netflix. The performance of young starlet, Quvenzhane Wallis, was exceptional. I'll never forget Hushpuppy.
Lastly, I spent most of the weekend with my new Michael Franti cd on repeat. It doesn't get much better than that, does it? If you don't own it yet, you should. I felt like an old lady running to Best Buy on Tuesday. I felt even older when they were sold out. Nobody goes to the store for new cd's anymore these days apparently! I can't wait for November. Franti and Spearhead are coming back to Greenfield Lake Ampitheatre. Last year's show was so much fun. Here's a clip from his visit to Letterman last week.
Make it a great week.
xoxo
